2020 Honda HR-V
The Honda HR-V is the smallest subcompact SUV in Honda’s lineup. However, it is important to not be fooled by the term ‘subcompact’ as it has more space than is expected. The vehicle’s interiors have been designed in a way that makes it a versatile and practical vehicle, liberating plenty of space.
Exterior Appeal:
Not many changes can be seen on the outside when compared to previous years. Front projector beam lights are standard on all trims except Touring. Black horizontal slats can be seen at the front. Rear privacy glass is also available on certain trims. Styling overall resembles a coupe. 17 inch wheels are available on the LX, EX, EX-L trims. 17 and 18 inch machine finished alloys are available for the Touring and Sport trims, respectively.
At the rear, customers will be able to find a rear spoiler with integrated brake light. Single exhaust with chrome tip is available in the Sport trim and above.

Customers will be able to choose from five trims of the 2020 Honda HR-V. These are as follows:

Engine:
The 2020 Honda HR-V gets a 1.8 liter, 4-cylinder engine 141 hp and 129 Nm of torque, which has been connected to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). The CVT is good for handling in the city or highway but isn’t really built for enthusiastic driving. All Honda engines are known for reliability and fuel efficiency, and this is no different.
Interior Appeal:
The legroom and headroom available in the rear seat of this vehicle is at least 3 inches, which is truly generous. Adequate space is also available in the front seat. The cargo capacity of this subcompact SUV is 24.3 cubic feet behind 2nd row. 60:40 Magic Seats are available, which can fold easily and enable items to be stored inside without damage. Seats have been cushioned well and are very comfortable.
8-way power adjustable seat are available with the Touring, while the others get manually adjustable seats. Push button start has also been made available. An oil life monitoring system has been made available with this vehicle.
The infotainment system in this vehicle comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but navigation is not available. Auto climate control is available for comfort. The center console comes with a customizable cup holder area where the cups can be adjusted such that they remain in one place.
Visibility from the front windscreen is very good in this car. The driving position is higher than that found in a normal sedan, though not the same as larger SUV’s. Although the steering wheel is heavy, it is precise. Build quality of the vehicle is solid.
Spending some time with the HR-V will show how practical it is in terms of storage space. Ample amount of space is available both at the front and at the rear.
Safety:
Safety features goes by the name of ‘Honda Sensing’. It comes with the following technologies:
- Pre Collision System
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Collision Mitigation Braking
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Road Departure Mitigation
